Located in our Burbank office, the Sr. People & Culture Business Partner (Sr. PCBP) will work with a diverse set of leaders and teams to drive employee engagement, organizational effectiveness, and business performance. This role operates across all levels of the organization, serving as the strategic business partner to their assigned executive leader, ensuring People & Culture strategies and practices align with and enable business priorities.
Reporting to the Sr. Manager, People & Culture, this role will support various client groups such as: Creative, Product Development, Merchandising, and Brand (subject to change based on business needs). Occasional travel to San Diego, CA or Everett, WA may be required.

What You’ll Do
  • Serve as a strategic business partner to their assigned executive leader, aligning People & Culture strategies with business priorities. 
  • Act as the primary People & Culture representative for the Burbank & San Diego offices, supporting employees while ensuring alignment with company policies and practices. 
  • Coach and advise leaders on employee relations, performance management, and team effectiveness, serving as a trusted partner on complex people matters.
  • Partner with business leaders and cross-functional stakeholders on workforce planning, organizational design, and talent strategies aligned to business objectives.
  • Lead and support organizational change initiatives, ensuring effective planning, communication, and adoption.
  • Consult on and implement People & Culture programs aligned with Funko’s Talent Strategy, driving adoption and long-term sustainment.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition and hiring leaders on role design, job descriptions, and immersions upon hiring.
  • Conduct and manage employee relations investigations, recommending and implementing appropriate resolutions.
  • Analyze trends in employee data for engagement, attrition, and retention to inform recommendations and proactive solutions.
  • Facilitate exit processes and analyze feedback to identify themes and drive actionable improvements.
  • Ensures compliance with all federal, state and local employment laws in all employee related practices including FLSA, FMLA, HIPAA, EEO, ADA, CFRA, PDL and other federal and state employment laws.
  • May assist with training internally on process/systems and may additionally assist assigned partners with staff training resources.
  • Act as liaison between employees and leaders to address questions, concerns, and company policy/practice interpretations.  
  • Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned which may include cross-team initiatives across all U.S. locations. 

What You’ll Bring

  • 7+ years of progressive HR/People & Culture experience, including deep expertise in employee relations, coaching, performance management, and HR compliance.
  • 5+ years serving in an HR Business Partner role, preferably in a consumer goods organization, licensing, retail, entertainment or the high-tech environments.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. employment law, with a specific focus on California employment regulations.
  • Proven ability to influence leaders and translate business strategy into effective, scalable People & Culture solutions.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and make sound decisions.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Experience using HR data and insights to inform decisions and drive outcomes.
  • High level of discretion and integrity in handling confidential information.

Salary Information
 
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $105,000 - $130,000 annually.​Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.

Work Environment 
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. 
This position is based in Burbank, CA with Monday-Thursday being onsite and Friday remote
